The Winner !!!

Lisa Wagner Stroup is the winner of the knife from Smokey Mountain Knife Works in Tennessee. She correctly guessed that Rhode Island was the only state's license plate that we did not spy on our great USA adventure. Way to go Lisa.!! :)

THE END!!!!

Well after 39 days and just shy of 10,000 miles we are safe at home! We entered 22 states. As we traveled we played "I Spy" and kept a list of the different state license plates. At the end of our trip we had seen 49 of the 50 states. Only one went unnoticed. If you can post a guess by commenting on this blog and are the first to correctly identify which state it was you will win a knife that we purchased at the Smokey Mountain Knife Works in Tennessee. GOOD LUCK!!

Almost home!

West Virginia and Maryland were the last two states we entered before getting back to Pennsylvania. Right after entering Pennsylvania we stopped for a quick visit in Chambersburg. Saw Cole but not Noah because he was in school. :)

Oklahoma

Drove 1/2 way across Oklahoma and are staying past Oklahoma City. The soil is so red here and makes it very colorful with the green. More green than we have seen since Washington State.

Driving Day

Sunday we drove into New Mexico after leaving the Painted Desert and Petrified Forest. Today is day 35 of our trip and we drove 650 miles finishing New Mexico, then going through Texas and into Oklahoma where we are staying tonight. Saw very little of Texas only driving through northern Texas by Amarillo. Total mileage so far is 8466.
