Washington State

We reentered the USA in Washington State. The pictures show the Columbia River. Tomorrow we will continue on to Seattle.

British Columbia

Leaving Montana and one hour into our trip we had fresh venison " fenderized and on the grill". Cost us a headlight, shifted the hood, broke the grill as you can see by the pictures. No one was hurt and the car is drivable! Just hope we don't need to pop the hood. We entered British Columbia and had a picnic lunch in a grove of cedars.

Glacier

More pictures to enjoy!

Glacier

Today we entered Glacier National Park at St. Mary and exited at West Glacier. As we entered we soon had snow that turned the view to a winter wonderland and low clouds. Flowers were still beautiful! The landscape we were able to see was remarkable and quite inspiring! The further we descended the clearer it became. At the bottom we were able to take pictures of the stones in the water. How colorful they were! Then we shopped at Apgar where the canoe that is pictured was for sale. Tomorrow headed for Washington.

Headed to Glacier!

Staying tonight in Shelby, Mont. When we first got here the motel clerk asked if we were headed to Glacier and told us that the pass was closed. After checking we found out that it is now re-opened and hoping that we can continue there tomorrow. Stopped on our way here in Great Falls where Lewis and Clark had to portage their canoes to get through a series of falls. Huge nest on top of a telephone pole. Metal statue of a resident whose farm was split into two at his death each daughter getting 100 square miles. NICE! Scenery continues to be magnificent.

Idaho

More scenic views crossing the Grand Tetons into Idaho. Flowers again from Squirrel. :) Staying tonight in Idaho Falls. We walked to the falls which many ducks enjoyed as well! Tomorrow heading to Glacier. Last picture shows the Snake River.

Jackson Hole, Wyoming

Good shopping but you need BIG BUCKS!!! MillionDollar Saloon had the saddles to sit on! They graciously allowed us to snap a picture. Antlers everywhere as you can see the arches into the park as well as the mirror at the motel. We did not have room to bring it home. And thankfully it did not fit to ship. Traveled through the Grand Tetons (rightfully named) as we left JH..
