We began our day this morning by taking the " Hop on Hop Off "bus and we rode around all day. We were at the last stop of the day and it didn't come so we called to see where it was. They told us it was 10 min. away so we waited 15+ and it finally came. A passenger that got off told us" this is a very sick bus". Well we poked along for 3 or 4 blocks and the driver finally pulled off and called in. He said to take a taxi and then tomorrow they would refund the cab fare and refund our bus ride! Good deal considering it was the end of the day anyway! But we don't have our money yet. The taxi driver laughed that we had to call a taxi to get home from our bus ride!! The hotel picture shows the Wilshire from Pretty Woman. The entrance to the Santa Monica Pier is the one Forrest Gump ran through at the end of his run across the USA so like Forrest I guess it is time to turn around and drive (not run ) home. See you in a couple weeks. Well we got the taxi money refunded ( not the tip!!) and the upgrade for the second day's bus fare. Not bad!!
